Above: Where the journey began…
For those who don’t know Jin Au-Yeung: 10 years ago, he was the 19 year old Chinese kid on BET 106 & park’s Freestyle Friday struggling to be accepted, he was the first ever Chinese MC to win all 7 rounds and become champion. He was then signed to Ruff Ryders where Wyclef produced his first single, made a cameo in 2 fast 2 furious (Jimmy the mechanic), performed for Obama (requested by the man himself)…the list goes on.
As a child, just like myself…he grew up watching Chinese entertainment programme TVB. Just over three years ago, he moved to Hong Kong to further pursue his career and could barely speak Cantonese. After much hard work, blood sweat and tears…today, he won TVB’s ‘Most Improved Actor’ award and added to that, he was the ONLY non-contracted artist to be nominated. In the midst of it all, he’s the most humble guy I know and he’s only just getting started. Au-Yeung Jing I am SO proud of you!
