WHEN THE LIGHTS COME ON - @iammcjin featuring @josephvincent12
Check out this project that I got to be a part of. I helped produce and actually did a bit of acting in it also lol. I’ve done a few of these projects but this was extra cool for me just in fact that this was a video for Jin the Mc.
To all my friends working in the entertainment industry and is an asian-american that is around my age, you can’t deny the influence Jin had on you. I remember when I was 16 years old and heard Jin on FREESTYLE FRIDAY for the first time. I was sharing that download link to EVERY PERSON I KNEW. He was the truth. He knocked down the doors for the ASiAN AMERICANS. Before that the only other guys that was Asian American was Bruce Lee & Milf guy (John Cho).
I’m fairly sure that when they put him on the show they thought he was going to be some sort of gimmick, but fast fwd 7 weeks later he was crowned the freestyle champ!I was a big big fan of him…I was a Holla-Front forum member, I would join him on his AIM CHATS…i even remember chatting w/ him on his aim, and I’m sure he doesnt remember me…
Thru these past 10 years, a lot of my highlights in life has included Jin.
- My first college party that I threw on my own at 20 years old featured the first time that far*east movement and jin shared a stage to perform “Food Fight” ***shit was so crackin’ it got shut down at 12:30pm and the cops came :)- The first time I ever went to Asia was that I got to be Jin’s tour manager for the Bacardi tour.
- And now I had the opportunity to help work on this Music Video for the next chapter in Jin’s career.
I like to think that I went from Fan to Fam, because I have really gotten to know him these past couple years, and seen how much growth he has come as a PERSON. I’m really really excited to share this project with you guys, and introduce you guys to a BRAND NEW JIN.
**THIS MUSIC VIDEO IS GOING TO BE OFF JIN’S NEW ALBUM. IT FEATURES JOSEPH VINCENT (a artist that I manage) —- BE EXCITED ***- Tom Ngo.
